Thoughtful Hands Build Wonderful Homes

As part of the Habitat/Thrivent partnership, volunteers constructed a ramp for a home in Porter county giving a family access and the ability to remain in their home and live independently.

Locally, Thrivent Builds Repairs is a partnership between Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity to help residents of Porter County make repairs to the exterior of their homes to make their homes safe and accessible.  Thrivent Financial has committed $12,500 to Porter County, and without donors such as Thrivent, Habitat would be unable to make the impact on our community that is needed.  This is the 4th year that Habitat for Humanity has received this grant.  In that time we have been able to help many families in Porter County with handicap accessible ramps and exterior repairs..

While home building is a longer  term project, Thrivent Builds completes projects of a shorter duration making it possible for individuals to stay in their homes and live independently.  Volunteers recently completed another ramp for a home in Porter County.
