HOME OWNERSHIP

  • Current housing is inadequate, high cost, or the conditions are substandard
  • A family with one head of household must complete 300 hours of sweat equity building the home or other Habitat homes as well as 40 hours of educational training. A two person household must complete 500 hours of sweat equity and 400 hours each of educational training.
  • ​The family must be responsible in paying their bills and not having been bankrupt in the past three years.

  • ​The family will agree to a down payment of $1000.00 toward the home. $100.00 is due upon acceptance into the Habitat Home Ownership Program, and pay $900.00 at the loan closing.
