Hannah, a single mom, and her young daughter are our next Future Homeowners.
They are living in a poorly maintained rental where soaring utility costs have made day-to-day life a constant struggle—highlighting just how critical the need is for safe, affordable, and dignified housing options in our community.
For the past three years, she has worked for a local home care company, and has recently been promoted to a supervisory role.
Her “work family” has been supportive by completing volunteer hours in her name.
Hannah completed her required financial education, Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, late last year and has completed a portion of her 250 sweat equity hours by working on the last build.
She is excited to start working on her own home, and to start building a life that is rooted in the confidence and self-resilience that comes from homeownership.
She is a dedicated single mother of four who works full time in the nonprofit sector. She has spent years balancing the responsibilities of work and parenting while navigating housing challenges common to many hardworking families. With rising housing costs and limited affordable options, long-term stability has been difficult to achieve. But, despite these challenges, she has remained resilient and focused on providing a safe, nurturing environment where her children can grow and thrive.
She is deeply committed to creating a stable, secure future for her family and has actively invested in her path to homeownership by completing required Future Homeowner education and contributing sweat equity toward her Habitat for Humanity home. She is grateful for the opportunity to partner with Habitat to build a permanent, affordable home that will allow her family to put down roots.
A safe, stable home will give her and her children the foundation they need to focus on education, opportunity, and long-term success—while continuing to strengthen their connection to the community they call home.
